Learning the Parts that Make the Whole.
Writing the Alphabet Manuscript Handwriting Kit
Before students can know the joy of expressing themselves, they must first understand how to properly write the alphabet. Our Handwriting Kit, included in the Pre-K/Kindergarten and Phonics curricula, gives teachers all the tools to help students take the first step to successful writing.
Handwriting Manuscript Kit
We teach the letters of the alphabet through direct instruction. The whole alphabet is taught in four basic strokes through visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile techniques. The strokes are given an easy to understand and relevant (to the students) language so they are able to assimilate and implement it. In addition the curriculum teaches letter placement, directionality, pencil grip and body position. This total physical and mental involvement engages students for the most effective learning and lifelong retention.
Teachers find the simplified and basic common sense strategies fun and rewarding to teach. Students are wholly involved and able to implement what they learn consistently and correctly without frustration.
