New Spelling Lessons and Activities

Language Circle® is excited to announce another new addition to our Phonics curriculum!

The spelling lessons in this program are developed from the Language Circle/Project Read Phonics Guide and Lesson Plans Volumes 1, 2, and 3.  Each booklet is designed for individual student use.  The lessons introduce a spelling list and sentence for mastery.  The tiger icon points out to specific features in that lesson.  Each lesson contains various strategies and activities that lead to spelling and vocabulary mastery.  The strategies and activities include word meaning, word building, word search, word scramble, alphabetizing, sentence dictation, finger spelling, spelling generalizations, crossword puzzles, symonyms, antonyms, and filling in vocabulary for sentence and story completion.  At the end of each lesson there is a spelling test.  The Teacher's Key includes a grading rubric, instructional materials, and a Spelling Calculator Chart.  The Spelling Calculator includes all the spelling generalizations taught in the Language Circle/Project Read Phonics program.
